Authors are requested to adhere to the below mentioned guidelines while recording and editing in order to produce good quality videos. Failure to adhere to these video quality criteria may result in rejection of the video
The videos must be recorded using a good quality camera.
Make sure adequate and even light is present to illuminate the field of interest. Avoid glare or overexposure from powerful OT lights while recording the procedure.
Please select the correct video resolution, file format and other parameters in the video recording device before starting to record the video- the minimum acceptable criteria are - Resolution 800x600px, Aspect ratio 4:3 or 16:9, Colour mode - Full colour.
Videos should be free of erratic camera movement and the camera must be placed on a stable surface.
It is advisable to write a script for your video in advance so that the narration by voice-over can be streamlined and coherent.
If necessary, mark specific steps in the video with text annotations or subtitles while editing the video.
While recording, make sure that patient's identity and privacy is protected all times and the body parts not relevant to the case should not be captured.
Any identification of the patient including his/her identifying marks must not be shown in the video unless it is essential. If the patient’s face is shown, informed consent and explicit permission must be taken from the patient to show identifying features (including face).
Please Note
The format of the presentation must be purely a procedural video. Please ensure that it is NOT in the form of a PowerPoint presentation with videos incorporated in it.
Personal details such as the authors’ names, qualifications and place of practice may be included in the starting of the video but personal advertisement in any form is strictly prohibited.
On the title page of the video, please include a disclaimer related to the permissions from the patient for usage of photos/videos for the academic purpose. In the disclaimer, also mention that the legal implications of the video content would solely be the responsibility of the authors/s preparing the video.
The submitted video may be returned to the presenting author after review by the Scientific Committee with remarks for modification / change in content or format.
The final decision about acceptance of the video as well as the final content of the submitted video including any addition/deletion will be at the discretion of the Scientific Committee. The same will be conveyed to the author before the video is accepted.

Video Quality
Submit a high-resolution video (minimum 800x600px; preferred 1024x768px; excellent 1280x720px or above)
Acceptable video format: MP4
Video to be submitted as a single file.
Submitted video files must include audio voice-over incorporated in the file.
Please do not change aspect ratio/bit rate when recording two parts of a video or within a single recording.
Video must completely fill the frame of the screen of recording device.
Audio Quality
Voice over in the video should be fully audible, coherent and understandable. While recording the video, the speaker/narrator should speak slowly and clearly to enable easy comprehension.
The quality, tone and volume of voice over should be constant throughout the video.
While recording video/audio, keep the background noise (extra persons, machine noise, fans etc.) to a minimum. Such background noise/audio present in the OT at the time of recording can be selectively deleted from the video file by editing and the voice-over narration can be added subsequently to the edited file.
